Democrats Move Closer to Taking Senate Majority

New York, N.Y- The 2020 senate race has resulted in several states being flipped from republican held seats to democratic ones. The results of these elections could predict if the new president, which is projected to Dem-Joe Biden, will have an easy time passing legislation or a difficult one like Barrack Obama did during his presidency in which the republicans held a congress majority.

Georgia, North Carolina and Alaska still have yet to complete their elections.

Perhaps one of the closest watched states, Georgia has gone in to runoff as the highly contested election between rep. David Purdue and John Hossoff goes in to a January runoff.

GOP senator Tom Thills goes against democrat Cal Cunningham whose race is in scandal due to leaked sexts to a public relations specialist.

Meanwhile Alaska’s race currently shows democrat Dan Sullivan behind the GOP senator Al Gross, but with only 44.6% of the ballots have been counted. Gross’s campaign team have said “we’re confident that once the ballots have been counted we’ll come out victorious”.
